It’s been awhile since I’ve talked to you guys but a lot of things have been going on. James is in the Marines (Semper Fi bro!) and Shane is busy with school so they can’t be on. Retaliators is far from dead though. We are making some changes and you will see them soon. As you may know, I have a reputation for getting my hands on scripts. Well, I can no longer put them up on the site. One, the link I was getting them from is down, and two, it might be illegal and I don’t want to mess with legal stuff since this site is growing so rapidly. We’ve had a down period but we’re coming back. To those who stuck around, Thank you. I have a lot of stuff coming your way, including a podcast with a pretty big film site we’re currently in talks with.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 is, let me start off by saying, an incredible film. I didn’t like the Half-Blood Prince at all, so when I saw the trailer for this one I thought “Wow!” I hoped it would be amazing. I wasn’t let down. Not even close.
THE GOOD
The good in this movie is that you feel Harry, Ron and Hermione’s struggle. Voldemort is getting stronger, time is running out, and you can feel the series ending. It’s sad and riveting at the same time. The movie felt really dark. not just dark. PITCH BLACK dark. The emotion was incredibly intense the whole way through. The dialogue was great,, and there were some great plot twists that helped keep attention. All of the leads are maturing, they did a fantastic job in this movie. Emma Watson was impressive but who really impressed me was Rupert Grint. He had the comedy right when you need him. Dobby was great this time too. Unfortunately just before the movie ends, is one of the saddest scenes I think I’ve ever seen.
THE BAD
There wasn’t really anything bad about it. The only complaints I would have is that there’s a chunk in the middle of the film that, while I thought interesting, could’ve used more action. It didn’t have as much as I expected but that’s fine. I could also feel it’s length at times. Other than that I don’t think I can complain.
Overall a REALLY satisfying Harry Potter, especially after the last one which, as I said, didn’t impress me at all. The emotion is intense, the stakes are high, it’s entertaining, and dark. This is the best of the Potter series yet- And my favorite movie of the year so far. Since the year is almost over, I think it’ll stay that way. I cannot wait for part 2! but an 8 month wait!?
SCORE: 9.5/10
Micheal Bay isn’t the most honest, but look at the plot. Based off this, that script might have been real…
“This one really builds to a final crescendo,” Bay told USA Today. “It’s not three multiple endings… As a trilogy, it really ends. [The franchise] could be rebooted again, but I think it has a really killer ending.
The new film features Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) taking his first tenuous steps into adulthood while remaining a reluctant human ally of Optimus Prime.
space race between Russia and the U.S.”, while implying that the Transformers played a hidden role in mankind’s first exploration of the galaxy.”

Vampires Suck is the new Friedberg-Seltzer spoof. They are responsible for Date Movie, Epic Movie, and the rest of the horrible spoof movies out today. How’s this one?
THE GOOD
I will admit to you I did laugh throughout the movie. It has it’s funny moments, but it’s “stupid funny”. The ending is also really funny and unexpected. The girl who plays Bella (Becca in this one) played it EXACTLY like Kristen Stewart. Edward and Jacob were portrayed similarly, and her dad was an idiot. Aside from over-used cliches, that’s what’s funny about this one.
THE BAD
Just about everything else. At just 76 minutes it flies by. A lot if bad with this. I’m not even going to say because I think you know.
OVERALL
This is a mega short review because let’s face it-there isn’t a lot to say about this one. While I did find it funny and perhaps a glimmer of light in the spoof genre, like it’s title, the movie, does suck. Skip it and go see Piranha 3D which looks like a ton of fun. Yes, this is a slightly positive review for Vampires Suck.

The poster for The Thing, the remake of the classic John Carpenter film, has now leaked online. I love the artwork for this one as it’s eerie and definitely has that horror feel to it. If only it would have a big glimpse of our favorite monster.
Via Killer Film:

It’s no secret I didn’t care much for X Men Origins: Wolverine, but I admit it wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be. First Class is shaping up to be interesting, with all of the people their picking up. Yesterday they picked up Rose Byrne and Jason Flemyng. Screen Crave says:
“Damages” star Rose Byrne is in talks to join the cast as MacTaggert, “a scientist and an authority on genetic mutation. She’ll be the love interest of James McAvoy, who plays mutant telepath Charles Xavier.” The last time we saw MacTaggert, she appeared in 2006’s X-Men: The Last Stand and was played by Olivia Williams.
We’ve also got another mutant joining the party in the form of Azazel. He’ll be played by Clash of the Titans star Jason Flemyng. In the comics, Azazel is a demon-looking teleporter who is revealed to be the father of Nightcrawler, who was originally played by Alan Cummings in X-Men 2: X-Men United.”

In this weekends Box Office, we all knew The Expendables would win. It’s got everybody in it, and it did win with 35 M. Impressive, and I must point out that almost this same weekend last year, Inglorious Basterds, a similar film, opened with similar numbers, weird.
Eat, Pray, Love looks actually kind of good (not seeing that though) and brought in 26 M opening weekend, a little higher than I expected.
Let’s head over to the real surprise, a film that looks amazing that I plan to see, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, got owned this weekend only bringing in 11 M. With Micheal Cera, a box office draw to an extent, I thought it might get 20 M. But Scott Pilgrim was no match for the awesome crew of Stallone, Stathem, Lee.
I know some of you are wondering that. As the main provider of scripts on here, I felt they should be taken off for possible legal reasons. Some of the scripts are still availible in the scripts tab, and I’ll still give reviews, but legally I didn’t want to take a risk. Hope you guys understand.
There’s a rumor going around that I heard About on Killer Film, saying that the Decepticon Starscream, will not live through Transformers 3. Of all the movies we have heard about lately regarding production, I think TF3 has been the least talked about. What do you guys think? Will starscream make it through another Transformers movie?
Hey guys, I know a lot of you loved the regular podcasts around here, but with James at boot camp, I can’t do them with him like we did. Rest assured he’ll be back soon, but for now I will be doing the podcast’s with Shane (if he wants) Matt, or myself.
